  • Well, Saturday was another perfect
day – no foam, rock-steady pressure, and enough time to take water and
schmooze with people on the platform a bit before each trip. Plus, it
was a great day for firing, as were the last couple; high was 83 and it
    was breezy.

However, once again, it’s 4:30 in the morning and I’m already wide awake.

At least I’ve got my first official student today. (Of course, that probably has something to do with it…)

  • This 4:30 a.m. stuff has to stop, Chris.  On the other hand, maybe it’s the change in weather; I know it has screwed up everybody’s sleep cycles around here, too.

So what did the Big Boss say about the Perfect Day?  And how did you make out with your student?

It occurs to me that the weather from now on should be just about perfect for firing, at least till November.  But we won’t think about that just now.  Are you still doing freight runs?

  • (Re: study hall — EXACTLY.  Not to mention the fact that if I have any opportunity to be at home and/or doing something I enjoy rather than sitting in a stufy, crowded, noisy classroom — well, I’m gonna take it.  )

Glad to hear the firing business is going so well right now. I hope I enjoy my future job as much as you do yours.
