I think it is now official,
sanctioned, and unavoidable. Whatever days Bill and I work together
this season, it is going to be pouring rain, and by day's end I will be
frantically scratchscraping at the tender deck trying to find something
resembling coal - or, at that, anything that'll burn hot enough to make
steam.
However, I can safely conclude on behalf of you
aspiring firemen that if you can keep steam up with wet coal, you can
keep steam up with anything.Stubble update: full of soot.

You are a good man.
Trains are hard things to keep running. I was running some HO scale model trains today, and it took me half an hour of fiddeling with electrical stuff to even get a train to budge. Not what you go through, but still, hard work
LOL! Adios!
